Account Executive – Commercial Insurance

About the role

We are supporting a well‑established insurance organisation in County Durham that values long‑term client relationships and professional integrity. As an Account Executive you will own a diverse portfolio of commercial clients, providing tailored insurance advice and driving growth through consultative selling.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
• Handle renewals, mid‑term adjustments and all client enquiries.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers.
• Collaborate with underwriting teams to secure appropriate cover and terms.
• Maintain accurate, compliant records using CRM and internal systems.
• Cross‑sell complementary products such as financial and risk‑management services.

Required profile

• Experience in insurance, financial services or a client‑facing advisory environment.
• Commercial insurance experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Proactive, professional and confident in managing your own workload.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
