Account Handler - General Insurance

About the role

Everywhen, a UK-based broking and advisory firm within the Ardonagh Group, is hiring an Account Handler in Burgess Hill on a hybrid basis. The role provides office-based support to an Account Executive in the day-to-day running of the personal lines client portfolio, from new business quotes and sales through to mid-term adjustments and renewals. It is the first point of contact for client and provider queries.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the assigned portfolio running smoothly on a day-to-day basis
• Achieve agreed retention rates, cross-selling and referral targets
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and insurers at all levels
• Act as first point of contact for enquiries from clients, providers and internal and external sources
• Respond proactively to queries from clients and insurers
• Resolve discrepancies in provider documentation before sending to clients
• Maintain client records and data in line with systems and protocols
• Provide a proactive telephone handling service for internal and external contacts

Required profile

• Essential: background in commercial insurance, such as office and surgery, commercial combined, contractors combined, property owners and fleet
• Ideal: PI, MLP and cyber experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive attitude, able to work under pressure and handle large amounts of information quickly while keeping attention to detail
• Teamworking, influencing and negotiation skills
• Resilience in dealing with problems and constructive criticism
