Account Manager – Customer Relationships & Growth

About the role

This full‑time Account Manager position is based in Consett and focuses on nurturing existing client relationships to generate long‑term revenue. You will manage a portfolio of customers, handle renewals and look for opportunities to expand accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and convert warm leads from internal campaigns and partner referrals.
• Engage with existing customers about upcoming renewals and contract options.
• Build strong relationships, understand client needs and challenges.
• Present tailored proposals that deliver real value.
• Identify opportunities to expand accounts (additional services, sites, etc.).
• Maintain up‑to‑date CRM records and pipeline activity.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding.
• Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months of sales experience (B2C, call centre, face‑to‑face, door‑to‑door or targeted retail).
• Confident communicator able to build rapport quickly.
• Target‑driven with a strong work ethic.
• Organised and capable of managing your own pipeline.
• Positive, team‑focused attitude.

What we offer

• Basic salary £27,000 – £32,000 per year.
• Uncapped commission (10% of gross profit) with no threshold for the first three months.
• Ongoing commission on longer‑term deals.
• Regular incentives, including additional time off for high performance.
• Free on‑site parking and early finish working hours (8:30 am – 4:30 pm).
• Potential extended holiday over the Christmas period based on performance.
