Accountant – Finance Team (UK or Germany)

About the role

We are a boutique global financial consulting firm seeking an Accountant based in the UK or Germany to join our Finance team. You will help maintain and develop our accounting and financial reporting framework, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance across multiple legal entities.

Key responsibilities

• Support the maintenance and enhancement of accounting policies, procedures, and related processes.
• Assist in preparing statutory financial statements and contribute to group consolidation.
• Ensure financial data is complete, accurate, and consistent across entities.
• Implement and monitor internal controls and manage financial risk.
• Perform reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and conduct quality assurance on finance outputs.
• Coordinate statutory filings, tax submissions, and audit activities.
• Manage relationships with external service providers and support internal finance communications.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least three years of relevant experience.
• Professional accounting qualification preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Proactive, accountable, and collaborative team player.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience with accounting systems such as Xero.
• Advanced Excel skills.
