Accountant – Full‑time Permanent

About the role

LV Logistics is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its Thornaby office on a full‑time permanent basis. You will support the finance team by preparing management accounts, handling year‑end reporting, and ensuring accurate payroll and VAT processing.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts and quarterly reports for two overseas entities and LV Shipping Holdings Ltd.
• Compile year‑end accounts and assist with external audits.
• Execute monthly bank reconciliations, journal entries, and balance‑sheet reconciliations, including fixed assets, pre‑payments and accruals.
• Process monthly payroll, pension contributions and related reconciliations.
• Authorize payments, monitor cash flow, and support the Finance Manager with credit functions.
• Submit VAT returns and perform inter‑company reconciliations.

Required profile

• Previous accounting experience is essential.
• AAT Level 4 qualification preferred.
• Friendly, positive and professional attitude with strong organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proactive and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
