Accountant – Mixed Portfolio Role

About the role

Join a well‑established firm of Chartered Accountants in Fareham and take ownership of a mixed client portfolio. This office‑based, full‑time role is ideal for an AAT Level 4 qualified accountant with 2‑3 years of practice experience looking for greater responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end accounts for limited companies, LLPs, sole traders and partnerships.
• Calculate business and personal tax using the CCH suite.
• Prepare accounts packs and address file review points.
• Advise on and file personal tax returns under supervision.
• Handle ad‑hoc tasks throughout the year, including P11Ds and ATED filings.
• Work to client budgets and manage client expectations.
• Mentor and coach less experienced colleagues.

Required profile

• AAT Level 4 qualification.
• 2‑3 years of relevant practice experience.
• Ability to work independently after a proper induction.
• Willingness to support and develop junior team members.
• Office‑based availability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the CCH tax software suite.
