Accountant – Month & Year End Specialist

About the role

This 6‑month fixed‑term position supports a large Glasgow‑based organisation through the critical month‑end and year‑end reporting period. The successful candidate will help finalise accounts, prepare management reports and work closely with auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare month‑end management accounts with commentary and analysis.
• Lead the preparation of year‑end statutory accounts.
• Complete consolidated accounts reviews and make necessary adjustments.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and report discrepancies.
• Maintain the fixed‑assets register and own general‑ledger postings.
• Collaborate with external auditors during the audit process.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with proven month‑end and year‑end experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Available to start on short notice due to reporting deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data manipulation.

What we offer

• Salary range £50,000‑£58,000 per year.
• Hybrid working model (2‑3 days in office).
