Accounts Assistant – Finance (Hybrid)

About the role

The Accounts Assistant role at Turtle Bay supports the Finance team in maintaining accurate, timely, and well‑controlled day‑to‑day financial operations across all restaurant sites. Working in a hybrid setting, you will handle bank reconciliations, revenue postings, compliance checks and investigate discrepancies to ensure the integrity of financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Daily and weekly reconciliation of three bank accounts, including cash and card reconciliations across all restaurants.
• Posting bank transactions and revenue from the POS system into the accounting system, with variance investigation.
• Managing team member expenses, including set‑up, approvals and ad‑hoc analysis.
• Administering petty cash and ensuring correct VAT treatment.
• Maintaining the sales ledger, raising invoices for rebates and guest deposits, and handling credit control.
• Administering Pleo prepaid company credit cards, managing limits and monitoring balances.
• Providing support to restaurant teams on banking or POS issues.
• Assisting with year‑end audit preparation, including revenue reconciliations and documentation.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail with confidence to identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Effective communicator able to collaborate across all organisational levels.
• Proactive team player with a flexible, hands‑on approach.
• Highly organised, capable of managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
• Discreet handling of confidential information.
• Good understanding of financial controls, accuracy and compliance.
