Accounts Assistant – Finance Support for TV Production

About the role

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to support the finance function of a TV production group, handling reconciliations and day‑to‑day accounting tasks. The role offers the chance to develop your skills and potentially progress to a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly bank, credit‑card and petty‑cash reconciliations.
• Maintain the purchase ledger and process weekly cash‑flow reports.
• Register, pay and query invoices.
• Prepare bank runs via BACS, SEPA and international payments.
• Analyse creditor reports and post daily receipts, bank charges and direct debits.
• Collect and deposit cash, maintain the list of open and closed bank accounts.
• Update direct‑debit and regular posting logs.
• Assist with year‑end and audit processes.
• Support project accounting and liaise with the team leader and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of double‑entry bookkeeping.
• Finance‑related degree, AAT qualification or Maths A‑level.
• Experience using Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Excellent communication skills and a team‑player attitude.
