Accounts Manager

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded mid‑tier accountancy practice in Sidcup that is continuing to grow. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional to manage a portfolio of owner‑managed businesses and entrepreneurial clients while progressing their career.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, acting as a trusted adviser on accounts and tax matters.
• Review statutory accounts and corporation tax returns to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Provide proactive advice and support to clients, identifying opportunities to add value.
• Oversee workflow, review the work of junior team members and mentor them.
• Build strong, long‑term client relationships and contribute to business development.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent experience with strong practice background).
• Recent experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance.
• Excellent communication and client‑management skills.
• A proactive approach with ambition to continue developing your career.
