Accounts Receivable Associate – French Speaker (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Accounts Receivable Associate who is fluent in French to join Cummins’ finance team in Darlington. The role is hybrid, requiring three days per week in the office, and focuses on managing European customer accounts to support cash‑flow and business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Collect payments from allocated European customer accounts, ensuring timely cash flow.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to deliver a positive experience.
• Investigate and resolve customer queries, claims and account discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Finance teams to address account issues and support business objectives.
• Analyse accounts, identify trends, root causes and improvement opportunities for the AR process.
• Support month‑end closing activities, reporting and financial control processes.
• Participate in projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and controls.

Required profile

• Fluency in French; German is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent, with practical experience.
• Previous experience in accounts receivable, credit control or finance operations, preferably in an international environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proactive, results‑focused and adaptable to changing priorities.

Required skills

• French language proficiency.
• German language proficiency (advantageous).
