Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a market‑leading logistics and storage organisation for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist. The role offers exposure to a broad range of finance duties, including invoicing, reconciliations, payroll administration and month‑end support. It starts on a contract basis with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly close procedures and finance reporting.
• Maintain and manage the billing system, generate invoices and statements.
• Perform regular account reconciliations and monitor outstanding payments.
• Administer monthly payroll processes and process banking transactions.
• Oversee collections, customer follow‑ups and identify potential bad debt exposures.
• Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders on account queries.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to wider finance functions as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance role.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Excellent organisational abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Positive, proactive work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must reside within a commutable distance of Rainham and have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship).

What we offer

• Salary £30,000 – £35,000 per annum.
• Hybrid working pattern (four days office‑based, one day remote).
