Accounts Semi‑Senior – Accounting & Tax Services

About the role

Our client is a long‑established independent nine‑partner accountancy practice delivering accounting, tax and business advisory services. As an Accounts Semi‑Senior you will support managers and partners in providing high‑quality accountancy services to owner‑managed businesses, SMEs and growing organisations across a range of sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Produce financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
• Assist with the preparation of corporation tax computations and returns.
• Prepare management accounts and supporting schedules for clients.
• Liaise directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
• Support senior team members with audits and other ad‑hoc assignments as required.
• Maintain accurate working papers and ensure compliance with firm procedures and deadlines.

Required profile

• Experience preparing year‑end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Ability to produce financial statements that meet accounting standards.
• Familiarity with corporation tax computations and returns.
• Capability to prepare management accounts and supporting schedules.
• Strong client liaison skills to obtain information and resolve queries.
• Willingness to support senior team members with audits and ad‑hoc tasks.
• Attention to detail in maintaining working papers and meeting deadlines.
