Accounts Senior – AAT or ACA/ACCA Qualified

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Senior to join a growing accountancy practice in Chippenham. The role offers the chance to develop technical expertise, work with a varied client portfolio and progress towards a senior position. Ideal candidates will be AAT‑qualified or ACA/ACCA part‑qualified and eager to build their accounting career.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end accounts for a diverse range of clients.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Produce management accounts and handle bookkeeping assignments.
• Support VAT returns and other compliance requirements.
• Liaise with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
• Support senior team members on more complex assignments.
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Build and maintain positive client relationships.

Required profile

• AAT qualification or ACA/ACCA part‑qualified status.
• Experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Proven experience preparing accounts for various business entities.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.
