Accounts Senior – Bury Accountancy Practice

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join a well‑regarded accountancy practice in Bury. The role is permanent, hybrid (2‑3 days in the office) and offers a clear pathway to managing your own client portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
- Complete VAT returns and ensure clients remain MTD compliant.
- Prepare corporation tax computations and CT600 filings.
- Handle personal self‑assessment tax returns for directors and individuals.
- Produce management accounts and financial reports to aid client decisions.
- Perform bookkeeping and ledger management across a diverse client base.
- Support and review the work of junior team members.
- Build and maintain strong day‑to‑day client relationships.
Required profile
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice (essential).
- ACA, ACCA or AAT qualified or part‑qualified; qualified by experience considered.
- Comfortable with bookkeeping, VAT and personal tax.
- Proactive, takes ownership of work and meets deadlines.
- Effective communicator who works well in a small team.

What we offer
- Salary up to £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
