Accounts Technician or Accounts Senior

About the role

Join a well‑established accountancy practice in Newquay as an Accounts Technician or Accounts Senior. You will work within a supportive environment that encourages professional development and offers exposure to a diverse client base across various sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end accounts, tax returns and VAT filings for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Provide bookkeeping, payroll and general practice services.
• Assist with cloud‑accounting advice and support the firm’s Xero implementation.
• Collaborate with managers and partners on planning and advisory projects.
• Develop technical expertise and progress towards professional qualifications (AAT, ACCA, ACA, CTA, etc.).

Required profile

• Recent experience in an accountancy practice of any size.
• Background in preparing accounts, tax and related practice services for a range of client types.
• Either holding or studying towards a relevant qualification (AAT, ACCA, etc.).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero cloud‑accounting software.
• Experience in cloud‑based accounting solutions.
