Accounts Trainee (Bournemouth)

About the role

As an Accounts Trainee you will rotate between our Tax and Business Services teams, gaining hands‑on experience with a diverse client base that includes sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and property investors. You will support day‑to‑day accounting tasks, client queries and tax compliance in a fast‑paced, supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using cloud accounting software such as Xero.
• Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of personal and corporation tax returns.
• Handle client queries, gather information and support clients with accounting software.
• Collaborate with other departments to collect data for tax filings and audit work.

Required profile

• Minimum GCSE Grade 7 in Mathematics and Grade 6 in English (or equivalent).
• Positive, proactive attitude with high motivation and energy.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial data.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
