Accounts Associate

About the role

Join a respected accountancy practice in Bournemouth as an Accounts Associate. You will work alongside experienced professionals, supporting a diverse portfolio of SMEs, charities and owner‑managed businesses while benefiting from flexible working and clear career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review year‑end financial statements for a varied client base, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Support advisory projects aimed at improving clients' financial performance and achieving business goals.
• Collaborate with tax, audit and accounts teams to provide a seamless client experience.
• Manage your own workload, plan assignments and mentor junior team members.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or actively studying towards qualification, with experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong analytical ability, meticulous attention to detail and a proactive problem‑solving approach.
• Confident communicator who enjoys developing professional relationships.
• Motivated, ambitious and eager to grow within a supportive team environment.
