Acoustic Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Acoustic Engineer to join a dynamic, award‑winning team in London. The role focuses on building acoustics across a variety of high‑profile projects such as hospitals, hotels, music venues and modern workplaces.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams to develop innovative acoustic design solutions.
• Lead small to medium‑sized projects from concept through delivery, with senior support as needed.
• Conduct on‑site acoustic surveys and measurements using advanced equipment.
• Perform acoustic modelling, calculations and analysis with in‑house and commercial software.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and project teams, contributing to design discussions.
• Produce clear reports, sketches, presentations and audio demonstrations to communicate findings.

Required profile

• Degree (BSc or MSc) in Acoustic Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent with an IOA Diploma.
• Proven experience delivering building acoustic projects across design stages.
• Excellent communication, analytical and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Proactive, positive and flexible attitude with a genuine interest in high‑quality design solutions.

Required skills

• Acoustic surveying and measurement techniques.
• Acoustic modelling and analysis using specialised software.
• Interpretation of acoustic data to inform design decisions.
• Preparation of technical reports and visual presentations.
