Acting Features Editor

About the role

Tatler, part of Condé Nast, is looking for an Acting Features Editor to join its cross-platform features department on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role suits someone with solid experience from a magazine or national newspaper editorial desk and a strong network of contacts, who is skilled in commissioning and editing articles and understands Tatler's audience and key figures.

Key responsibilities

• Commission, edit and write engaging features for all of Tatler's platforms
• Work closely with the Features Director to meet deadlines
• Look for headline-grabbing stories and scoops
• Craft snappy, witty and compelling features

Required profile

• Proven ability to create engaging, agenda-setting content
• A keen interest in Tatler's topics and themes
• Knowledge of society figures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Required skills

• Solid experience from a magazine or national newspaper editorial desk
• Strong network of contacts
• Understanding of SEO and writing punchy articles that attract readers online is desirable
