Activities Coordinator – Care Home (Weymouth)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to join Bosworth Care Home in Weymouth. You will plan and deliver a varied programme of social, recreational and therapeutic activities for our residents, helping them stay active, engaged and happy.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a weekly activities schedule, incorporating both in‑house and external resources.
• Organise special events such as summer barbecues, Christmas parties and themed outings.
• Engage directly with residents to understand their interests and tailor activities accordingly.
• Coordinate visits from entertainers, local businesses and community groups.
• Facilitate mobility‑focused sessions such as Zumba, ballroom dancing or adapted sports.
• Support team members through shadowing, teamwork and covering duties as needed.

Required profile

• Compassionate, reliable and enthusiastic about working with older adults.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Legal right to work in the UK for at least 12 months.

Required skills

• Experience planning and delivering group activities or events.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety considerations for activity provision.
