Activity Coordinator (Part Time)

About the role

Peverel Green Care Home, run by Gold Care Homes, is a home for up to 60 elders near Hatfield Peverel, Essex, offering personalised care alongside arts and crafts, dance and garden activities. The part-time Activity Coordinator plans and organises activities for all residents throughout the day, supports their social, intellectual and spiritual well-being, and helps organise individual, group and fundraising events. Extra hours may occasionally be needed for outings.

Key responsibilities

• Build friendships with residents and help them settle into life in the home
• Deliver a high level of personal and psychological care professionally
• Plan daytime and evening activities and coordinate the programme with other services in the facility
• Assess residents' needs, set activity goals in the written care plan and encourage participation, documenting outcomes
• Support residents' social, intellectual and spiritual well-being and help organise individual, group and fundraising activities
• Maintain good communication with the Manager, Senior Care Assistants, Chef and relatives, and support team working
• Keep records to a satisfactory standard, agreeing type and quantity with the manager monthly
• Ensure resident and staff rights and confidentiality are safeguarded, and stay aware of Health and Safety requirements
• Provide backup for all staff and carry out additional duties and training as requested
