Activity / Wellbeing Coordinator

About the role

Emberbrook Care Home, a nursing home in Thames Ditton offering residential, nursing and dementia care, is looking for an Activity / Wellbeing Coordinator. The post holder plans and organises activities for all residents throughout the day, supports their social, intellectual and spiritual well-being, and delivers physical, psychological and social care to frail elderly residents. Extra hours may be needed for outings and events.

Key responsibilities

• Build friendships with residents and help them adjust to life in the home
• Deliver a high level of personal and psychological care professionally
• Maintain good communication with the Manager, Senior Care Assistants, Chef and relatives
• Support teamwork and complete records to a satisfactory standard, agreeing record types and quantities with the manager monthly
• Safeguard residents' and staff's rights and maintain confidentiality
• Plan daytime and evening activities and coordinate the programme with other services
• Assess residents' needs, set activity goals in the written care plan and document outcomes
• Keep awareness of Health and Safety requirements
• Undertake additional duties and training as requested
