Day Care Assistant - Elderly Residential Care

About the role

Glenholme Senior Living, a specialist residential care provider, is looking for a Day Care Assistant for its Thimbleby Court home in Horncastle. The day team supports residents' meaningful routines, social interaction and activities while maintaining their comfort and wellbeing. The role is led by Registered Manager Hazel Whittaker, offers 33 hours per week of 12-hour day shifts (including a 1-hour unpaid break) and includes alternate weekends. No experience is essential, as full training and ongoing support are provided.

Key responsibilities

• Support older adults to stay safe, comfortable and well cared for during the day
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Support with personal care and assist with mobility around the home
• Oversee medication and monitor health needs
• Support with meals, drinks and nutrition
• Help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment
• Encourage engagement in activities and daily routines

Required profile

• Compassionate, patient and able to adapt to different situations
• A good listener who values people's life stories
• No experience required; full training provided
• Role is subject to an enhanced DBS check
