Actuarial General Insurance Placement 2027

About the role

Zurich is offering a one‑year Industrial Placement in Actuarial General Insurance for students in their penultimate year. You will work on real business challenges, gaining hands‑on experience in reserving or pricing while being supported by a dedicated buddy and experienced actuaries.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse data and apply statistical techniques to predict future claim costs and emerging trends.
• Support capital management decisions by providing business insights from reserving analyses.
• Determine pricing of insurance products by evaluating risk, customer behaviour and market trends.
• Contribute to innovative pricing models and segmentation strategies to keep Zurich competitive.

Required profile

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with high numerical aptitude.
• Comfortable working with large data sets and learning new technical methods.
• Excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Clear interest in pursuing an actuarial career after graduation.
• Ability to build strong working relationships and deliver accurate work.
