Actuarial General Insurance Summer Internship 2027

About the role

Join Zurich’s actuarial team for a 10‑week summer internship where you will work on real business challenges in General Insurance. You will be exposed to two core actuarial pathways – reserving and pricing – and receive mentorship from experienced actuaries across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Apply statistical techniques and data analysis to estimate future claim costs (reserving).
• Analyse risk, customer behaviour and market trends to help set insurance pricing.
• Identify emerging trends and provide business insights to support capital management decisions.
• Collaborate with qualified actuaries and analysts on real projects that impact customers and the business.

Required profile

• Strong mathematical and numerical aptitude with an analytical mindset.
• Ability to work with large data sets, learn new technical skills and maintain attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills, and a genuine interest in an actuarial career.
