Actuary – Defined Benefit Pension Specialist

About the role
We are partnering with a well‑established consultancy to hire an experienced Actuary for their Leeds‑based team. You will work with a diverse client portfolio, providing specialist advice on Defined Benefit pension schemes and supporting strategic projects.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, delivering clear and practical actuarial advice.
- Support senior stakeholders in maintaining and developing client relationships.
- Attend client meetings, present findings and recommendations.
- Review actuarial calculations, reports and outputs for accuracy.
- Identify risks and opportunities across client pension portfolios.
Required profile
- Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA) or equivalent qualification.
- Strong experience working with Defined Benefit pension schemes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple clients and competing deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Confident written and verbal communication skills.
