Advanced Clinical Practitioner – Emergency Medicine

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join our Emergency Medicine team. The post holder will work autonomously within the Acute and Emergency Care department, delivering high‑quality assessment, diagnosis and treatment to a diverse range of patients.

Key responsibilities

• Examine, assess, diagnose and treat unfiltered and undifferentiated patients presenting to the emergency department.
• Collaborate with senior medical staff to ensure safe and efficient patient pathways.
• Contribute to the achievement of national targets and service delivery standards.
• Lead, educate and support junior staff, and participate in research and quality‑improvement initiatives on the emergency floor.
• Maintain up‑to‑date clinical knowledge and practice across all pillars of advanced practice.

Required profile

• Qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner with documented experience in Emergency Medicine.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced emergency environment.
• Strong clinical decision‑making skills and ability to manage patients of varying acuity.
• Commitment to continuous professional development, leadership, education and research.
