Agency Midwife – Flexible Shifts in Maidstone

About the role

We are seeking registered midwives to join agency shifts at Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. The role offers immediate start dates and the flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and bank holidays across a range of maternity services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, compassionate care to women throughout pregnancy, labour, birth and the post‑natal period.
• Assess, monitor and support mothers and newborns, ensuring safety and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated maternity care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with NMC and NHS standards.
• Promote safe and effective maternity practices at all times.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Recent experience in NHS or UK hospital midwifery settings.
• Availability for both day and night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Strong communication and patient‑centred approach.
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
