AI Enablement Lead

About the role

Environment Bank works to restore natural habitats across England, with a team of ecologists, land managers, geospatial analysts and more. Its remote Data, Systems & GIS team is looking for an AI Enablement Lead to drive practical value from AI tools and platforms across the business. The role is remote-first, with travel to run workshops and work with teams in person.

Key responsibilities

• Champion the responsible use of AI across the business, staying current with platforms, tools and capabilities
• Develop and deliver training, guidance and documentation so colleagues use AI tools effectively
• Run discovery with teams to map workflows and identify where process automation or AI tools can improve efficiency, giving teams ownership of the solutions
• Maintain a prioritised pipeline of AI and automation opportunities and report progress to leadership
• Prototype and test new tools, then work with colleagues to turn them into implemented solutions
• Help colleagues build simple solutions themselves, and work with the Data, Systems & GIS team to scope, develop and build internal automation tools
• Create and maintain documentation for tools, processes and training materials
• Build a network of AI champions and self-serve guidance so teams handle routine queries, with the lead stepping in on harder cases
• Set guardrails and best practices for responsible AI use, balancing productivity with data security, quality control and duty of care

Required profile

• Practical experience using LLM platforms such as Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot for real work tasks
• Experience with workflow automation and prototyping
• Experience facilitating cross-functional workshops and mapping business processes with audiences from frontline teams to senior leaders
• Able to influence stakeholders without direct authority, including heads of department
• Confident communicator able to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues and run training sessions
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fully remote team

Required skills

• LLM platforms (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot)
• Workflow automation and prototyping
• Desirable: experience building and deploying standalone tools or apps, and setting up AI tools such as agentic workflows or MCP servers
• Desirable: experience with HubSpot, ArcGIS, Snowflake
