AI Engineer – Agentic SDLC Expert (VP)

About the role

FDM Group is seeking an AI Engineer – Agentic SDLC Expert (VP) to lead AI‑driven transformation for a financial services client. The role is an 8‑month fixed‑term contract based in London with hybrid working, focusing on building enterprise‑scale Agentic SDLC platforms that embed Generative AI, LLMs and autonomous agents throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Agentic SDLC platforms that automate requirements analysis, architecture design, coding, testing and deployment.
• Build and orchestrate intelligent multi‑agent systems, prompt chains, knowledge‑retrieval solutions and Model Context Protocol integrations.
• Develop AI‑powered accelerators for code generation, test automation, documentation and release validation.
• Integrate AI capabilities with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Copilot, GitHub Actions and other CI/CD tools.
• Establish governance frameworks including human‑in‑the‑loop controls, model governance and output validation.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in software or platform engineering within enterprise environments.
• Deep expertise with Large Language Models, Generative AI, AI agent frameworks, prompt engineering and workflow automation.
• Proven track record designing AI‑driven development workflows, autonomous engineering agents and productivity solutions.
