AI Labs Software Engineer – Python Developer (Finance)

About the role

The AI Labs team in London is looking for a senior Python engineer to design and deliver Agentic AI solutions for the firm’s investment, sales and marketing departments. You will work closely with a manager and a technical lead, collaborating with business stakeholders to translate their needs into production‑ready AI applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop end‑to‑end Agentic AI solutions using Python and cloud services.
• Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet their objectives.
• Take AI prototypes into production and hand them over to departmental tech teams.
• Showcase AI solutions to external clients and support partnership opportunities.
• Contribute to the growth of the AI labs team by mentoring future senior engineers.

Required profile

• Strong experience as a Python Software Engineer/Developer.
• Advanced Python skills covering the full project lifecycle from inception to production.
• Good design and architecture ability with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience building Agentic AI solutions, preferably taken to production.

What we offer

• Salary £110k‑£140k per year plus a 20% performance bonus and a 10% pension contribution.
• Hybrid working model – three days a week in the London office.
• Standard office hours from 9 am to 5 pm.
