Aircraft Painter – Business Aviation MRO

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Aircraft Painter to join a leading Business Aviation MRO facility in South East London. The role involves working on high‑end business jets, delivering premium paint finishes while supporting a fast‑growing operation.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare aircraft surfaces – stripping, sanding, cleaning and polishing.
- Apply primers, base coats and finishing paints using spray guns and related equipment.
- Mask and protect sensitive areas, apply decals, vinyl appliqués and custom designs.
- Carry out touch‑ups, inspections and rectify surface imperfections.
- Interpret engineering drawings and job cards to ensure correct application.
- Assist with aircraft movement and general hangar activities as needed.
Required profile
- Proven experience as an Aircraft Painter, preferably in Business Aviation or MRO.
- Strong knowledge of various paint systems (high solids, conventional, lacquer, etc.).
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Required skills
- Surface preparation (stripping, sanding, cleaning, polishing).
- Spray‑gun operation and paint‑pot handling.
- Application of primers, base coats and finishing paints.
- Decal and vinyl appliqué installation.
- Metallic paint blending techniques (desirable).
