Aircraft Technician – Manchester

About the role

Join Emirates Engineering at its new Manchester base and work on world‑class aircraft such as the A380, A350 and Boeing 777. You will be part of a professional maintenance team, reporting to a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (LAE) and helping to establish the new engineering operation.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and approved structural repairs on aircraft, engines and components in line with manufacturer and regulatory procedures.
• Perform component replacements, assist LAEs with walk‑around checks, troubleshooting, defect rectification and modification work.
• Use and interpret approved documentation including the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC) and Component Maintenance Manual (CMM).
• Follow safety procedures for refuelling, fluid replenishment and system servicing, and maintain excellent housekeeping and FOD control.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in aircraft maintenance and repair, preferably with A380 exposure.
• Unrestricted right to live and work in the UK and a valid UK driving licence.
• Ability to pass a five‑year history check and obtain an airport airside driving permit.
• Strong teamwork, communication skills and commitment to safety and quality standards.

Required skills

• Aircraft maintenance techniques and procedures.
• Proficiency with AMM, IPC and CMM documentation.
• Experience with A380, A350 or Boeing 777 platforms.
• Knowledge of aviation safety standards, quality systems and airside regulations.
