About the role

Join Airbus' Airframe Simulation team for a 12.5‑month placement focused on nonlinear finite element analysis of aircraft structures. You will work in Filton, Bristol, gaining hands‑on experience with advanced numerical techniques across the aircraft lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Learn to perform airframe structural analysis using nonlinear finite element methods.
• Work alongside experienced engineers and see how simulation and test complement each other.

Required profile

• Must be an undergraduate for the full placement duration and pursuing a Masters in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• Passion for aircraft structures analysis and strong problem‑solving, analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Graduation date must be provided; BPSS security check required.

Required skills

• Finite Element Method (experience a plus).
• Coding or scripting languages (experience a plus).
