ALN Teaching Assistant - Haverfordwest

About the role

A specialist Additional Learning Needs (ALN) school in Haverfordwest is looking for a compassionate and dedicated ALN Teaching Assistant to support children and young people aged 3-19 with a range of additional learning, developmental and support needs. The workplace is on site, and the rate is £90-£100 per day.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils with autism, communication difficulties and general additional learning needs
• Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support in line with individual development plans
• Support speech, language and differentiated learning activities to boost engagement
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and classroom inclusion
• Foster pupil independence, self-esteem and social confidence
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and specialist support professionals

Required profile

• Experience supporting children or young people with ALN
• Calm, patient and caring, with a flexible and positive approach
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a specialist setting
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
• A Child and Adult DBS is required
