Amazon Category Manager – Retail Buyer for Licensed Brands

About the role

We are recruiting an Amazon Category Manager for an award‑winning licensed homeware and lifestyle business that works with world‑leading brands such as Disney, Warner Bros., Microsoft, Netflix, Nintendo, LEGO and Paramount. The newly created position treats Amazon as the primary storefront and owns the category’s performance from end‑to‑end.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a retail buyer on Amazon, managing pricing, range optimisation and promotional activity.
• Analyse sales, margin and performance data to generate actionable insights and drive profitability.
• Identify under‑performing lines and implement improvement actions.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends to keep the category competitive.
• Collaborate with marketing, supply‑chain and commercial teams to align availability, promotions and growth plans.
• Stay informed on AI, Amazon marketplace trends and digital retail innovation, applying new tools where relevant.

Required profile

• Background in retail category management, buying, merchandising or e‑commerce.
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical ability.
• Experience managing product ranges, sales and margin performance.
• Advanced Excel and data‑analysis capability.
• Ability to spot opportunities and develop commercially viable product strategies.
