Amazon Connect Consultant – Outside IR35 (Contract)

About the role

This contract position offers the chance to lead the migration of a large outsourcing business from legacy Avaya telephony to a modern, cloud‑based contact centre using Amazon Connect. The role is fully remote for UK residents and requires both deep technical expertise and strong stakeholder management.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to capture and analyse existing Avaya contact‑centre requirements.
• Design, architect and implement Amazon Connect solutions, including IVR, contact flows and integrations.
• Create detailed technical documentation, high‑level designs and implementation roadmaps.
• Lead end‑to‑end deployment, covering configuration, testing and rollout.
• Provide guidance on building scalable, resilient and cost‑effective architectures.
• Integrate the solution with CRM tools, databases and reporting systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering Amazon Connect projects, especially migrations from Avaya.
• Strong understanding of contact‑centre technologies and cloud architecture.
• Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple stakeholders.
