Analyst – Private Debt Mobilisation – Infrastructure & Fund Finance

About the role

This analyst position sits within Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) and supports the Private Debt Mobilisation (PDM) team focused on infrastructure and fund finance across Europe. Reporting to the Head of PDM Infrastructure and Fund Finance, Europe, the role is based in London and works closely with colleagues in Madrid.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior team members in analysing underwriting and value‑added opportunities in the infrastructure and fund finance space.
• Support structured finance origination teams on deal structuring, pricing and distribution strategies.
• Coordinate with loan sales, market sales and other PDM teams on de‑risking solutions such as CLOs, TRS, loan‑on‑loan, principal financing and portfolio sales.
• Prepare commercial presentations for internal and external clients, including investor capacity, pricing benchmarks and comparable transaction analysis.
• Participate in the underwriting, syndication and sell‑down processes and attend client and investor meetings.

Required profile

• Direct experience in the European structured finance loan market, including pricing, legal documentation review and credit understanding.
• Degree‑level education (or equivalent) in Engineering, Finance, Science, Mathematics or a related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluency in Spanish is desirable.
• Completion of CISI regulatory modules is a plus.
