Android Developer

About the role

CGI is seeking an Android Developer to join its mobile engineering team. You will design, build and maintain high‑performance Android applications while collaborating with product managers, designers, developers and QA specialists in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop native Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Collaborate with UI/UX teams to deliver responsive, user‑focused mobile interfaces.
• Integrate and optimise RESTful APIs and third‑party services.
• Write clean, scalable, maintainable code following best practices.
• Participate in peer code reviews and improve code quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, defects and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement and support unit testing and automated testing strategies.
• Maintain and enhance existing Android applications and features.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing Android applications.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery practices.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and conduct code reviews.
• Experience with unit testing and automated testing frameworks.
