Anti-Social Behaviour Case Officer

About the role

The Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Case Officer will be based at Manchester Town Hall Extension and work across the city to prevent and address anti‑social behaviour. You will engage directly with residents, businesses and partner agencies, using a trauma‑informed approach to support victims and intervene early.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and manage ASB and neighbour nuisance cases.
• Conduct street‑based patrols, engagement and enforcement activities.
• Collaborate with Greater Manchester Police and other partner organisations.
• Issue verbal and written warnings and prepare evidence for potential court proceedings.
• Provide support to vulnerable individuals while reducing repeat offending.

Required profile

• Good knowledge of ASB legislation and its practical application.
• Resilience and confidence when dealing with challenging situations.
• Strong decision‑making skills and ability to use enforcement powers appropriately.
• Ability to challenge and instruct solicitors when required.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a car for covering a large geographical area.
• Enhanced DBS check will be required.
