Applications Engineer – CNC Programming & Customer Support

About the role

We are seeking an Applications Engineer to provide technical support and optimise CNC machining processes for customers across the UK and Ireland. The role combines field‑based installations, programming, and close collaboration with the sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Support customer installations and provide on‑site technical assistance.
• Program and optimise CNC machines using Siemens and/or Heidenhain controls.
• Design and build fixtures and machine sample parts.
• Deliver training and support to customers on equipment use.
• Work with the sales team on demonstrations, project proposals and customer solutions.
• Travel across the UK and Ireland as required.

Required profile

• Experience as a CNC Programmer, Applications Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer.
• Proficiency with Siemens and/or Heidenhain control systems.
• Knowledge of CAM software such as Hypermill or similar.
• Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites.
