Applied AI Engineer

About the role

An Applied AI Engineer at Seamflow designs, builds and maintains AI‑powered workflows that process complex technical documents such as 400‑page PDFs, scanned forms and tables. The role requires end‑to‑end ownership of AI surface area, from prompt design to production monitoring, and close interaction with customers to ensure reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the full AI stack, including prompts, agent design, tool integration, evaluation pipelines and live monitoring.
• Participate in customer calls, read real inspection documents and review hundreds of model outputs to identify failure modes.
• Ship production‑ready AI features within the first week and continuously iterate based on real‑world feedback.

Required profile

• Proven experience running AI systems in production where real users depend on them.
• Ability to diagnose why a model failed and implement concrete fixes, not just note hallucinations.
• Track record of building regression‑catching evaluations and shipping fast while maintaining high standards.
