Apprentice 18t Driver – Urban Driver Apprenticeship

About the role

DX Network Services is offering a 15‑month Urban Driver Apprenticeship in Exeter. As an Apprentice 18t Driver you will work towards obtaining a Category C2 (18‑tonne) licence while gaining hands‑on experience in professional urban delivery operations.

Key responsibilities

• Represent DX professionally at all times.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks, report defects and complete required paperwork.
• Load deliveries safely, scan products using DX equipment and ensure accurate routing for timed deliveries.
• Drive LGV vehicles safely and legally, complying with all company and statutory requirements.
• Handle customer interactions politely, ensuring parcels arrive in excellent condition.
• Assist with office tasks, driver‑mate duties and warehousing activities during training.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• At least 12 months of UK driving experience.
• Ability to work full‑time and follow health‑and‑safety procedures.

Required skills

• Category C2 (18t) licence (to be obtained during the programme).
• CPC licence (legal requirement for LGV vehicles).
