Apprenticeship – Automotive Technician (Swindon)

About the role
Join one of Halfords' 600+ Autocentres as an apprentice technician in Swindon. You will work alongside experienced mechanics, gaining hands‑on experience across a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine servicing, inspections and basic part replacements.
- Assist with complex repairs, engine rebuilds and diagnostic investigations.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults.
- Support the workshop in maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Required profile
- Adaptable, flexible and eager to solve new problems daily.
- Customer‑focused with strong attention to detail.
- Willing to learn from college lecturers, mentors and colleagues.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
