Approved Electrician – Industrial Installation & Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for an Approved Electrician to join Actemium Birmingham, delivering electrical installation, commissioning, maintenance and upgrades for leading automotive manufacturers and industrial clients across the UK. The role is site‑based, involving work at customer facilities and occasional travel or overnight stays to support project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead installation, commissioning, maintenance and upgrades of electrical systems in industrial manufacturing plants and production facilities.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to support project quotations and delivery.
• Collaborate with customers, contractors and stakeholders on‑site, ensuring clear communication and professional liaison.
• Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations (BS7671) and company health & safety procedures.
• Assist in preparing technical proposals, quotations and design submissions.
• Provide guidance to customers on the operation and benefits of installed charging equipment.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, housekeeping and health & safety.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification.
• ECS/JIB Gold Card.
• Knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
• Experience working on industrial or automotive electrical projects.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
