Architecture Governance Engineer

About the role

LSEG is running a major programme of work under its Engineering Strategy to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Architecture Governance processes, applying technology including AI to streamline them and ensure high design quality. The role suits someone with a strong technical engineering and/or architecture background interested in hands-on delivery of technology to solve complex business problems. It is a manager-level position based in London.

Key responsibilities

• Define engineering governance processes so that architecture governance is implemented efficiently and effectively.
• Ensure LSEG products adhere to best practice and LSEG standards.
• Build the new governance processes using AI and low/no-code tools such as Microsoft PowerApps, and provide supporting documentation.
• Operate the resulting processes, including tooling support, training courses, and CIO and Group-level ARB forums with senior engineering leaders.
• Assemble outcomes and actions and promote engineering governance and quality standards across the enterprise.

Required profile

• Degree (or equivalent) and/or relevant professional qualification.
• Strong background in software engineering and/or architecture.
• Willingness to explore emerging technologies and techniques, including the use of AI, to strengthen engineering governance.
• Experience developing PowerApps.
• Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to solving complex challenges.
• Effective communication and stakeholder leadership, able to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to respond quickly to operational issues and to seek feedback to improve working ways.
