Area Manager, Customer Fulfilment

About the role

As an Area Manager in Amazon’s Customer Fulfilment network, you will lead a diverse team responsible for meeting customer demand in a fast‑paced fulfilment centre. The role combines hands‑on operational oversight with strategic improvement initiatives to ensure safety, quality and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Create and sustain a culture of safety and wellbeing across your area.
• Analyse performance data and implement changes to maintain high quality and productivity.
• Lead projects that streamline processes, optimise output and enhance service quality for customers.
• Monitor shift performance against business objectives and drive operational excellence.
• Collaborate with senior managers to standardise shift practices and address operational challenges.
• Mentor new managers and support the development of future leaders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Proven experience working with stakeholders and using data to influence decisions.
• People‑management experience, preferably in a distribution, logistics or manufacturing environment.
