Area Sales Manager – Field Sales (Oxford)

About the role

We are seeking an energetic Area Sales Manager to lead our food‑service sales in Oxford and the surrounding South East England region. You will work from home while regularly visiting customers in the field, driving growth for a regional wholesaler that is part of the global Sysco network.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, acquire and retain independent food‑service customers to achieve volume and profit targets.
• Research the territory, understand market opportunities and develop a pipeline of prospects.
• Build strong, face‑to‑face relationships with existing accounts and provide ongoing support.
• Onboard new customers efficiently while maintaining close collaboration with current clients.
• Partner with customers to understand their growth plans and propose suitable product solutions.
• Monitor competitor activity and ensure the best local offering for customers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in field sales or account management, preferably within a B2B environment.
• Commercially astute with a strong track record of meeting sales targets.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and manage a full territory.
• Passionate about sales and comfortable engaging with a diverse customer base.
