Area Service Delivery Manager

About the role

The Area Service Delivery Manager will lead a team of engineers across multiple trades and Co‑op sites in the Swindon and M3 Corridor area. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure the efficient delivery of maintenance services while supporting the company’s rapid growth. The role is an internal promotion, providing strong mentorship and guidance from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor and develop engineering teams across the designated area.
• Recruit, train and assess engineers to meet Lancer Scott and Co‑op standards.
• Drive productivity and efficiency, monitoring KPIs and SLA performance.
• Manage capital projects, supporting cost estimates and liaising with Project Managers.
• Analyse existing engineering processes and implement improvements.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations through regular audits and site visits.
• Act as the first escalation point for Facility Management Business Partners and coordinate joint visits with subcontractors.

Required profile

• Recognised trade qualification or management qualification in facilities management.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in service delivery, operations or a similar field.
• Proven leadership experience managing multi‑site teams.
• Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making and project‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills at all organisational levels.
